Ciro Palumbo was born in Zurich in 1965. He lives and works in Turin. After attending the school of advertising designer in Turin he takes the profession of graphic becoming later artistic director. In 1994 he chooses to leave his career and devote himself entirely to painting. His passion for painting has led him to take part of the "workshop of art" by Antonio Nunziante, where he completes his first training. Then he follows the road of a personal research and an individual work. His interests closes him to the works of Savinio, Magritte, Dali and De Chirico (of whom he also appreciates the study and research on oil colors). To these artists are to be added Tommasi Ferroni and other representatives of the new Italian figuration. The experience of his "masters" is being worked out in a personal manner, according to a poetic that merges a fantastic and fairy imaginary with the myths of ancient Greece and the sculpture of sixteenth and seventeenth century.
